    CHECKWIND v8.3.0 released

    CHECKWIND v8.3.0 adds file-format improvements, new Canadian wind standards support, and broader analysis fidelity across multiple standards.

    JSON file format, NBCC support, 12-direction analysis, and substantial terrain/exposure detection improvements.

    New features and enhancements

    • FILE: Data files are now saved in a JSON format for easier editing.
    • SITE: Introduction of automated wind analysis to NBCC 2015 (Canada).
    • SITE: Introduction of automated wind analysis to NBCC 2020 (Canada).
    • SITE: Introduction of 12-direction (30°) wind analysis for EN 1991, EN 40, SANS 10160 and SANS 10225.
    • SITE: Significant improvements to Terrain Class detection to AS 4055-2012 and AS 4055-2021.
    • SITE: Significant improvements to Terrain Category detection to AS/NZS 1170.2-2011 and AS/NZS 1170.2-2021.
    • SITE: Significant improvements to Exposure Category detection to ASCE 7-10, ASCE 7-16, ASCE 7-22, LRFD LTS-1, TIA-222-H and TIA-222-I.
    • SITE: Significant improvements to Terrain Roughness detection to CSA S37-18.
    • SITE: Significant improvements to Terrain Category detection to EN 1991-1-4.
